The department of ICT of Mzuzu University has established two ICT centres at Luwinga and Mzimba secondary schools. Fair Denmark is providing material and technical support for this project.
There will be eight centres in the Northern Education Division. At least one per district. The project aim is to reach out to secondary schools in the region in terms if Computer training and access.
This is direct consequence of the introduction of Computer Studies in forms one to four. The centres will be hubs for other schools around them.
It is expected that on 12th September 2013 the project will be launched.
Each center will have at least 25 computers, a server, a printer and a multimedia projector. The centre is fully networked and internet ready. Other well wishers can provide connectivity as complementary service.
Andreas and Benjamin from Denmark are doing a good job together with lecturers, technical staff and student volunteers in setting up the centres.
